Q. How long after treatment will I begin to see the results from laser hair removal?

As a rule of thumb, you'll typically see a 10-15% reduction of hair with each session of laser hair removal. On average results will be seen about one to three weeks after each treatment. It is recommend to complete eight to ten sessions spaced 6 weeks apart to achieve the best results.

Q. Can I use retinol after a chemical peel?

It's important to give your skin time to heal and turnover following a chemical peel, you can typically start to reintroduce retinol back in to your skincare regimen after about ten days.

Q. Does Gua Sha actually work and do you recommend adding it to at-home skin care routine?

Gua Sha can be a great addition to any skincare routine. Gua Sha helps to drain excess fluid and can create an illusion of a more sculpted face temporarily or when done consistently. It is recommended to use a serum or moisturizer in conjunction with the Gua Sha to minimize aggravation to the skin.

Q. How should you seasonally adjust your skincare regimen?

The main thing most clients notice as the seasons change is dryness towards the winter, and over oiliness as summer approaches. Switching moisturizers and serums between the seasons is a great way to combat this - note that, even in hotter months, moisturizers are still key to maintain your skin's barrier! Alternating textures and thickness of products seasonally can ensure that your skin is balanced, hydrated and nourished.

Q. I have ethnic skin, is laser resurfacing a good option for me?

For those with ethnic skin (Fitzpatrick types IV - VI), there are certain lasers to avoid. However, a very versatile and effective laser is Laser Genesis! This treatment helps erase fine lines and wrinkles and boosts collagen without causing hyperpigmentation.

Q. What is the number 1 product you recommend incorporating into our skincare routine?

The most important product in your skin routine is a Vitamin C serum! Vitamin C is an antioxidant that protects the skin from free radical damage and actually prevents further damage. Prevention is better than a cure!
