Q. Is Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) a safe surgery?

Performed by a board certified plastic surgeon, a fat graft to the buttock (BBL) can be safe. Unfortunately, due to high demand and profit opportunity, many physicians who have not had proper training of the anatomy have begun to dabble in cosmetic procedures. Therefore, these procedures should be done in accredited surgical facilities. Be wary of any questionable locations such as hotel rooms or offices where these services are offered. While some injectables like Sculptra can be used, the best option is your own fat. Injection of non-medical materials such as silicone are highly discouraged.
